[Star Trek RPG] OOC Thread

I wanted to comment on a few things before we got started. Please comment here before you post so that I know you read, or at least pretended to, this thread.

1. The opening "scene". It's not necessary to always open with a scene with your posts, just wanted to make that clear.
2. Anything I put in italics is going to be like scenery, or a prompt for the next scene. I'll try to include them at the end of each of my posts, but only when necessary.
3. Most things that I put in bold will be captain's logs, which will happen several times throughout an episode.
4. As we go along, I'll ease up with guiding you, but I just want us to be clear as to where the RPG is going, so that there's no unanswered questions.
5. PLEASE ASK ME QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY BEFORE YOU POST. One of the biggest problems we had at TFF was people being uncertain as to where to go with the story, and GM's not giving enough info... so...

Do you guys want me to give you the basics on what the virus is and what we are going to have to do, or does that take the fun out of it? I want to have your guy's input, as we wouldn't even have this RPG if it weren't for you. So please, let me know!

Okay, well what type of information should I give, since I don't want to give too much? Because there's more than just the virus that is going to happen. We have to find out where the virus came from etc, so could I tell you what the virus does and what is going on in the lower deck? Or is that too much?

that`s bit too much, but you said the general direction I`m going, like do they look different form outside? (like in dead space or smth, what what I`m I supposed to check in "engeneering section - is that for me decide?)

Okay for engineering just check and see if life systems are working and how much power is left. If I were you, you could say that power is off on the lower deck to reserve it for the upper deck, but all life systems is on. This is completely up to you.

What do you mean, "do they look different from outside"?

You won't know what the people look like until we go to the lower levels

And Admiral Connors is his name.

The main power systems are on the topdeck, which is just a bit higher than the level one. Probably different than real star trek, but this is an old star base so why not

lol no probs at all, I`ll try my best anyways, but yeah I still use the native kind of sentence setup...that I guess, is sort of, hard to undestand to others :/ It just isnt fluent enough :/

haha, that would be awesome...but we have hell of a grammar (one of the hardest in world - even harder than russian one lol)

I feel rather sad reading your and rays posts, just makes me feel bad..I have to expand my cloud of knowledge for English words etc lol.

I'll be willing to help you in any way, if you want to send me your posts in a PM and ask me for help with words, grammar, or anything let me know. I can also give you some good websites to help you come up with words. Have you ever used a thesaurus? And do you have a good Latvian-English dictionary?
