[Star Trek RPG] Character thread

Here is my character and the general template that I would like you to use.

Please post only your characters here, and I will approve them in this thread.

Note: Available races are Human and Vulcan and Klingon. Mixed races are also accepted. Humans can be from any galaxy/solar system, and don't feel bad for choosing earth. They are also the most popular race in Star Trek. I don't want many Klingons, as at this time I would like there to still be hostilities between the Klingons and the Federation. If you choose to play as a Klingon, I need a good back story as to why a Klingon would be aboard the Enterprise, and expect a general disapproval of your character.

Appearance: Sahara has long black hair that she often wears in a bun near the top of her head, showing off her distinctly Vulcan ears. Her eyes are dark brown and seldom show emotion. She has no laugh lines or visible markings on her face, as Vulcans show no emotion and never succumb to stress. She wears her mustard-yellow long-sleeved captain's shirt at all times, accompanied with a black miniskirt and knee-high black leather boots. Despite being half Vulcan, she still possesses three times the strength of a human male.

Personality: Sahara, despite being half Vulcan, is Vulcan in every way. She is emotionless, possesses intelligence superior to the vast majority of even the smartest human minds, and has no problem expressing that at any chance she gets. Her humour is nonexistent, but humans in her midst tend to find her quite humourous from time to time. Her lack of emotion has caused others to question how well she will run a space ship, but her intellect is enough to make up for it.

History: Sahara's mother came to earth decades before Sahara was born. Her mother married a human male in a traditional Vulcan ceremony. While these unions are frowned upon by Vulcans, Sahara's mother was neither the first nor the last to unify with a human. Sahara joined Star Fleet when she was 18, in hopes that she could see the vast universe and learn everything there is to know about it, and all of it's fascinating species. She was the first student in Star Fleet history to pass every exam with over 100% percent. She has never taken interest in a lover and has no friends, as she sees no logical reason for such a relationship... at least not yet.

Apperance:
Nathan has brown short hair, but he usually wears a hat, that covers most of his head. He has grey eyes and small lips. He usually wears his uniform below a engineering jacket, though he wears it only when is out of captains sight.

Personality.
Nathan is famous for his engineering capabilities and ability to effiecenty control his
group, to make the best use of engineers. Despite beeing a chief engineer he likes to get his hands dirty, and likes to do most of jobs him self. Most of times, he wears a smile, and is warm and forgiving chief engineer, but in extreme sitations - he is know for making extreme decisions. Nathan is very adventourus, he is not likely to turn down a challange or an a adventure.

Histroy.
Nathan father and mother both were famous scientist on earth, from them Nathan got his interest in sciences. Regarded as genius from school, Nathan was one of the youngest human in earth history to finish science and engineering university at age of 14, and finished his doctorate in hyper-photonic engines at 18. After finishing academy, his was asked to join the military as engineering advisor, after few years he became chief engineer in military - for years he worked for Star Fleet, until he got his invatation to join a interesting mission by a Prodigy captain Sahara.

Apperance:
He is a little on the chubby side but still agile. Think Jack Black and that's him. He had shoulder length brown hair but was told the captain on this mission has a stick in the Vulcan half of her bum. So he shaved his head bald. Just in case, he also shaved his eyebrows so he looks surprised all the time.

Personality:
Jovial. People often wonder when he is being serious or not. Thanks to his extensive medical background that posses an issue. As chief medical officer if He says "Take this pill on the hour for three hours." He might add something like. "Or you will grow a third teat." Now the person has to wonder....

History:
His mom and dad were both geniuses. So his extraordinary IQ was only expected. He graduated medical school at the age 17 and tinkered with medical engineering. (Design and use of high tech medical instruments). At the age of 19 He designed and built a tool that can mend a broken bone in moments. He is always looking for a way to make his job easier. Oh, and He got his nickname (Dammit) from the many patients who say "ouch Dammit."

Appearance: T'Sala is a tall, olive-skinned, youthful-looking, Amazonian beauty with a peroxide blonde pixie cut. Her left earlobe is tattooed with the Vulcan words "Sha Ka Ree". Her large, brown, soulful eyes and the laugh lines around her mouth speak of a Vulcan who is not nearly as in control of her emotions as most. She wears a formfitting blue long-sleeved top, a black miniskirt and impressive knee-high boots, although this ensemble tends to make her feel rather self-conscious. She is amazingly strong, even for a Vulcan.

Personality: Unlike the typical Vulcan, T'Sala is not as in control of her emotions as she would like. However, many of her crew mates consider this to be her best asset as she is quite approachable and empathetic. While T'Sala's intellect may not be considered extraordinary by Vulcan standards, she does possess a probing, inquisitive mind that is ever hungry for more questions to find answers to. She is a more than capable team player who always puts the mission and others first.

History: T'Sala's upbringing was a rocky one. Her Vulcan parents had moved to Earth to get away from what was for them a stifling, almost emotionally stillborn culture back on their mother planet. They had felt this way for some time, as if they simply didn't belong in Vulcan society, and longed to connect with other beings and cultures in ways that weren't so restrictive. Needless to say, their fellow Vulcans frowned upon this, finding the whole idea to be completely illogical. T'Sala's parents emigrated to Earth before she was born.

Although T'Sala was born on Earth, her ethnicity and almost freakish height meant that she was constantly bullied by the smaller human children. Despite this, she grew up to be a fairly well adjusted Vulcan (by human standards), and joined Star Fleet when she was 19. Like Sahara, she has a desire to see and experience everything that the universe has to offer. She also harbours two secret longings; the first is to find her soul mate, and the second is to find the fabled Sha Ka Ree.

Name: Harrison Ripley; Nickname: Butterfly

Appearance: Harrison is tall and built like a boxer. His black hair is fashioned in a military crew cut, and his black eyebrows sit on his face like two furry caterpillars, which caused him to have the nickname "Butterfly" from childhood. He has vivid green eyes that are often full of light and humour. He wears his red uniform at all times, and is never seen in civilian clothes, even during rest missions. He does this because he wants the captain, a Vulcan whom he holds in high regard, to take him seriously. Other than his eyebrows, there is nothing that sticks out about him.

Personality: Harrison, despite looking like an easy-going man, is a very hard worker. He takes his job more seriously than anyone else on the ship (or so he sees it). He knows just about every alien language, including Klingon, that has been discovered in the galaxy. He is exceedingly quiet and tends to only speak when spoken to.

History: As an orphan, Harrison grew up in orphanages and foster homes until he reached the age of 18. Then he entered into the academy, and worked in the communications until recently, when Star Fleet commissioned and sent out the UES Enterprise to explore the galaxy. He was first pick for exceptional xeno-linguistics, though, many doubted the choice because his IQ was seemingly lower than the average IQ of those working on previous Star Fleet ships. One thing could not be denied though, he was good at what he did and just as good at taking orders.
