Cowboy Bebop
At liv's behest, I've started a Cowboy Bebop thread. It's one of my favourite anime series of all time, so how could I not?
And that opening title sequence is to die for, wouldn't you agree?

Re: Cowboy Bebop
Agreed! Though the image that's on the screen as the preview looks like a penis.
Great show. I cried so hard toward the end. Ed and Ein are my favourite characters. What about you?

Now that you mention it... yeah.olivia_the_vulcan wrote:Agreed! Though the image that's on the screen as the preview looks like a penis.
First part of my answer in spoiler tags...olivia_the_vulcan wrote:Great show. I cried so hard toward the end. Ed and Ein are my favourite characters. What about you?
- Spoiler:
- I have to admit that I had a lump in my throat at the end when everyone went their separate ways. And does Spike really die? It's kinda upsetting to think that he possibly has, even though it seemed inevitable given that it was his past catching up with him.
However, if you twisted my arm I would have to go with Ed. I love how out of all the characters you don't seem to get to know her background all that well, and perhaps that's what works so well about her. She's just this very strange, oddball, tomboyish little creature with a slim grip on reality, and is yet the most brilliant intellectual wise. Just awesome!
Dude, you owe it to yourself. This is champagne telly. Very much worth watching!JNK wrote:I have it on my HD, should watch some day!

First part of my answer in spoiler tags...As for favourite characters, that's hard to say as they're all wonderfully portrayed characters. There seriously wasn't a dud character in the cast for me. I loved them all because they bounced off of one another perfectly. The chemistry was just there from the get go.

- I actually don't remember if he really dies or not. There's a movie that comes after the end of the show, that I never watched all the way through. I don't even remember if the movie is an actual continuation or if it's just a really long episode, like the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood movie). I bawled my eyes out during the episode where Ed and Ein leave... you're just left watching them part into the distance, knowing you may never see them again. *THE FEELS*
I related so much to Ed. I was exactly like her as a child. Just weird as hell, tom boyish, hyper, and etc. I'm still a lot like Ed >.<

I liked Samurai Champloo a little more for some of the super dramatic tense scenes and I really dig Nujabes.
Bebop is still fantastic though I still have the track "Mushroom Hunting" stuck in my head to this day.

Samurai Champloo is very good. I haven't seen all of it though. Something about the art turns me off for some reason.
Because you said "mushroom"... Bebop's mushroom episode is my favourite episode out of all of them. I died laughing during the entire episode.

- The movie takes place between episodes 23 and 24 of the series, so it's kinda like an extended episode really. I quite liked it, and I think in its own way that it's up there with the likes of Ghost in the Shell and stuff like that. I certainly recommend that you watch it to the end!
That's probably why I like you so much. You're like Ed come to life!olivia_the_vulcan wrote:I related so much to Ed. I was exactly like her as a child. Just weird as hell, tom boyish, hyper, and etc. I'm still a lot like Ed >.<

Oh, that's pretty easy, my good chum. All you gotta do is highlight the text you want to put into spoilers, click on the "Others" button above the message field, click on "Spoiler", and Bob's your uncle!
