Guilds/Clans?

I was wondering, maybe when we get some more members (20 isn't really enough for this to work), could we have something fun like guilds/clans? Those are usually my favourite part of any forum. They're just too fun and there's a lot we could do with them in a sci-fi universe.

How do they work?

Okay, let's say I wanted to start The Vulcan Guild.

There would be a section for guilds, and then subsections for each guild inside of it. So under guilds, I'd go to The Vulcan Guild. Then I could post there.

Old guilds on TFF used to have it so you were in character. So when I ran the guild of elves, I was the Queen of Elves, and an elf in character during posting.

Here's a link to the most active guild on TFF (which I co-run). It's not active much at all anymore, but it's the best example I can think of. I can't post links here until I've been a member for seven days, apparently, so just add the www :p

It's basically a light RPG. They're really fun.

Pfft, I'm starting a Vulcan clan, we'll have deep philosophical and logical conversations and humans won't like us because of our logic :p

I'll start a smurf clan. Then no one will know what the smurf we're smurfin' about.

I'll not start a clan. Because i'll get upsurped and overthrown by my minions.

You can join my clan and be second in command. That way you have protection

I'll make retard clan

and regarding members, we should all contribute in recruiting! get you nerd buddies, get everyone you know closer from TFF, etc.

I don't really have any friends that would be interested in this place unfortunately. I need better friends.

I'll make a thread in spam about it on TFF. Maybe they'll join because I'm awesome :p Not sure I want any of my real life friends here any more than I want them on TFF. They wouldn't understand me lol

what about Fremen clan? I once was in one... in a game. Well, it was alliance, but still

That's why clans/guilds/alliances are cool. You can essentially make any one you want. You should only be able to be a part of one though, but that's only fair.
