Coolest stuff you've seen in sci fi
So I find sci fi often contains some pretty neat stuff: neat ideas/concepts/alien races/technology...etc. So what are the neatest things you've come across in sci fi?
I thought the idea of having your mind inhabit another body in the movie "Avatar" was pretty awesome.

"Inheritance cycle" , part of "Galactic marines" series by Ian Douglas had tons of neat stuff, like neural implants, which connect you to the i-net and also contains your personal e-assistant, nanoparticles which are used for medicine, as weapons, etc. and finally uploading your mind into compy thus gaining immortality...

Just the design of some alien races in sci fi is pretty cool. For example, D’Argo in Farscape was freaky cool lookin' with his strange tentacle head and beak-like nose. Awesome.

Oh light sabres are indeed cool. I saw the original Star Wars as a kid and was totally blown away by them. They even sound cool!
